Man claims $52 million Florida Lotto jackpot
Wednesday, April 21, 2010 posted 09:44 AM EDT
A Miami-Dade man has won a $52 million jackpot in the Florida Lotto.
The Florida Lottery reports 40-year-old Miguel Pilgram claimed the prize Monday, opting for the one-time, lump-sum payment
of more than $29.2 million.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at a Shell Gas Station near Pilgram's North Bay Village home. Pilgram found out
he was the winner when he stopped by the store. He said he usually doesn't check his numbers right away, but when the store
manager told him they sold the winning ticket, he decided to check.
The store received a $110,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
Saturday's winning Florida Lotto numbers were 15-16-20-32-45-50.
