Wednesday night's $50 million Powerball Lottery drawing went off last night on schedule. According to lottery officials,
no winner was recorded. That means Saturday's jackpot will be worth $62 million to a single winner.
Players all across the nation purchased more than $17 million worth of tickets in the in 29 eligible States, Washington D.C.
and the US Virgin Islands.
Wednesday's Powerball results were; 8, 13, 38, 39, 45 and the Powerball number was 31. Wednesday nights Power Play multiplier
was 4.
Although the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. Four lucky tickets sold in
Iowa, Kentucky,Missouri, and Pennsylvania won $200,000 each by matching all 5 numbers without the Powerball number.
Fifteen lucky players matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000 in cash. Also, another six players did the
same, however these tickets were purchased with the Power Play option and are worth $40,000 each.
Even though there were no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of lucky winners at other prize levels, so players
should check there tickets carefully. According to the Powerball Lottery, thousands of winning tickets go unclaimed every
year.
Saturday's $62 million drawing will be held at 11pm Eastern Time.
