The jackpot in the multistate Mega Millions lottery drawing grew to $201 million Wednesday.
None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $171 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball. The next drawing
will be Friday.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536.
The drawing was the 13th since one ticket sold in Texas had all six numbers for the July 6 game and was worth $126 million,
the most recent time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
There were 11 second-prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing, matching all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number
to win $250,000 each. Two of those tickets were sold in Illinois _ one at a convenience store in Glen Ellyn and the second
at a grocery store in Chicago.
Also, 48 tickets, including five in Illinois, matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets
are each worth $10,000.
The winning numbers from Tuesday's drawing were: 8, 38, 54, 55 and 56. The Mega Ball number was 2.
Mega Millions game is played in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio,
Texas, Virginia and Washington.
