A 42-year-old mother of two from Independence is the state's newest lottery millionaire! The Kansas Lottery today introduced
Lori Boyle as the winner of the $12.9 million jackpot in the July 4, 2007, Hot Lotto drawing.
Boyle is a 23-year employee of Prestige Cabinets in Neodesha. She has two children, both daughters, ages 19 and 13. She hasn't
decided yet if she will take the cash option on the $12.9 million jackpot, or opt for the annuity payments. She has 60 days
to make that decision.
Boyle and her boyfriend Keith Hofstrom, who accompanied her to Lottery headquarters today, went to a wedding in Tulsa, Oklahoma,
last weekend and while they were there, they bought $20 worth of Powerball tickets, hoping they'd hit a big win on 7-7-07.
The winning numbers in the July 4 Hot Lotto drawing were: 10-15-19-28-33 Hot Ball 13. Boyle's ticket matched all six numbers
drawn. Boyle's ticket is the first Hot Lotto ticket sold in Kansas to win the game's big prize. The $12.9 million jackpot
is the second largest in the five-year history of Hot Lotto.
