Time's running out for $19M Lottery winner
Tuesday, April 24, 2007 posted 10:25 AM EDT
Today is the final day for the owner of a $19 million winning Pick 6 Lottery ticket to claim the prize.
The ticket was sold a year ago at a convenience store in Newark.
If the ticket is not validated by midnight, either at lottery headquarters in Trenton or at one of New Jersey's more than
6,000 lottery retailers, the state will use the money for other purposes.
One of the largest unclaimed tickets in New Jersey Lottery history, it's worth $10.8 million if taken in a lump sum rather
than in payouts over 26 years.
The winning numbers were 5-24-27-28-33-37. One ticket with the numbers was sold at 24/7, a convenience store attached to
a Lukoil gas station at the corner of Washington and Court streets in downtown Newark, on April 24, 2006.
According to state Lottery officials, 1,269,331 tickets were sold for the Pick 6 drawing on April 24, 2006.
