Party thrown for Lottery winners
Monday, December 11, 2006 posted 11:39 AM EST
More than 200 Lottery winners have gathered to celebrate the creation of the game's 2,000th millionaire.
The group, which has a collective worth of some £400 million, enjoyed a champagne reception organised by Lottery operator
Camelot.
Guests included syndicate and individual winners.
They posed for the cameras on the ice rink at Somerset House in London before enjoying the party.
A Camelot spokesman said the Lottery had so far raised more than £19 billion for good causes.
He said: "It is amazing to be able to bring together over 200 winners to share their stories and to celebrate this historic
milestone."
