Two local Lotto players share $14 million

Two players matched all six numbers in Saturday's Florida Lotto drawing and will share an estimated $14 million jackpot,
the Florida Lottery announced today.
The winning tickets were purchased at Publix on 10142 Indiantown Road, in Boca Raton, and at La Plaza Supermarket on 751
N.W. Airoso Blvd., in Port Saint Lucie.
Pedro Ordaz, an owner of the Port St. Lucie store, grinned with disbelief Sunday after learning the news.
As one of the stores that sold a winning ticket, the La Plaza Supermarket will receive $12,500, much-needed money for Ordaz
and his wife, Margarita Leonor, who opened the store four months ago.
"We need a lot more products," said Ordaz, 41, gesturing toward the aisles in the airy convenience store, which sells things
like cereal, beer, chips and Mexican soft drinks.
Ordaz, a Lake Worth resident, also hopes news of the winning ticket will bring in more customers.
"That's what we really need," he said. "Business is kind of slow, but hopefully with the season, it will start to pick up."
From Thursday through Saturday, the store sold 227 lottery tickets, Ordaz said.
His nephew, Edward Leonor, regretted that he wasn't among those who bought one.
"Man," he laughed, shaking his head. "I should have played."
The winning Florida Lotto numbers selected Saturday were 04 - 07 - 08 - 11 - 20 - 27.
A total of 267 tickets matched five numbers to win $1,809; 11,369 tickets matched four numbers for $34.50; and 171,576 tickets
matched three numbers for $3.50.
The next drawing will be Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 11 p.m. for a $3 million jackpot.
