Keep your day job; no Powerball winner

Thursday, September 07, 2006 posted 11:40 AM EDT

This isn't such a good week to retire after all.

No one won the Powerball lottery last night, and there were no big winners of secondary prizes in Minnesota, either.

The Powerball lottery operators in Iowa now estimate Saturday's multi-state drawing will be worth $119 million.

The Powerball winning numbers last night were 2-21-27-36-55 and a Powerball of 1. The Minnesota State Lottery said today that no one had those numbers, or enough of them to win $200,000. Only one ticket sold in Minnesota had enough numbers to win $10,000 while 58 tickets had four numbers worth $100 each, and 81 tickets had three numbers plus the Powerball, which is also good for $100.
