Suzi Jambor loves playing the lottery, she plays almost everyday.
"I don't smoke. I don't drink. It's something I do for habit, that's my habit."
It's a habit that hasn't paid off yet but that doesn't seem to bother her.
"I hope one of these days I win something, maybe give me another lotto ticket," Jambor said.
Stores selling scratch-off lottery tickets say sales have been steady since the beginning. Cash prizes have been as high
as $100,000 in some areas in the state, making for some very happy recipients.
A local convenience store manager described the jubilation he's seen, "Oh yeah, they happy. Yeah, some people come dancing
you know when they are winning like $250."
But it's the Powerball that people are waiting for. Powerball is scheduled to start in North Carolina at the end of May.
