Friday, March 10, 2006 posted 02:37 PM EST
RICHMOND, Va. A Campbell County couple has claimed the second-highest prize -- 250-thousand dollars --- on a winning Mega
Millions ticket purchased at an Altavista convenience store.
Glenn Miller of Gladys bought the ticket on Tuesday, the day of the drawing. Virginia Lottery officials say that Linda Miller
warned her husband not to come home unless he bought the tickets.
He told lottery officials when he claimed his prize this week that he ... quote ... "nearly had a heart attack" when he found
out that they had matched the first five numbers in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.
The Millers say they plan to save their winnings for retirement.
