OCALA, Fla. -- Working at a convenience store proved more than convenient for a store clerk who won big in the Florida Lottery's
scratch-off game Gold Rush.
Mark Walker gave his boss two weeks' notice after playing the scratch-off game Sunday night.
The 55-year-old won $500,000 and is the 15th top-prize winner in the game's history.
This isn't the first time he's been a scratch-off winner. Lottery officials say Walker has won $300 on the Lucky Seven game
and 2,500 on a game called Hearts in the past.
He told lottery officials he plans to do a little investing and to travel with the money.
