RALEIGH, N.C. The folks who run the new North Carolina lottery expect they'll have as many as five-thousand retailers ready
to sell tickets on the first day they're available.
The North Carolina Education Lottery has approved the installation of nearly 700 ticket terminals across the state. They
expect the rest to be ready to sell instant-win tickets by the end of March.
Earlier this month, lottery officials said they expected four-thousand retailers to be ready by launch day. Its ticket contractor
has 60 crews working across the state and they're installing more than 100 ticket terminals each day.
