Lotto jackpot still unclaimed
Sunday, February 12, 2006 posted 10:18 AM EST
As of close of business Friday, no one had stepped forward to claim the $64 million jackpot from Wednesday night's Lotto
Texas drawing, Texas Lottery Commission spokeswoman Leticia Vasquez said. The lucky $1 ticket was purchased at the Shop &
Save store at 2626 Yale.
Vasquez said the winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the money before it defaults to a state fund that benefits
the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. At least one big Lotto Texas prize — $13 million won with a ticket
purchased at a Humble liquor store in June 2001 — went to the medical school after it wasn't claimed.
The proprietor of Shop & Save will receive $500,000 for selling this week's lucky ticket.
Wednesday's winning ticket — selected from more than 3 million sold — will bring the largest prize since a Dallas-area
player won $66 million last May.
The winning ticket's numbers are 7-11-25-26-34, with a Bonus Ball of 7.
